NorthPetition.ca is designed to be privacy-first and compliant with PIPEDA. This page summarizes what we collect, why, and how we protect it.

What we collect

• Account info: name, email, password (hashed), optional postal code.
• Signatures: name, email, postal code, optional comment.
• Technical: hashed IP and user-agent for fraud prevention (not used for advertising).

What we never do

• We never sell your data.
• We never share your signature data with political parties or advertisers.
• We never run tracking ads on the site.

When we share

When a petition you sign is delivered, your name and postal code are included in the delivered letter to the targeted representatives and any custom recipients the petition creator selected — that is the point of a petition. Your email is not shared.

Your rights

You may request deletion of your account and signatures at any time by emailing us. We will remove your personal information within 30 days.
